More than fifty researchers from several universities participate in the II Spanish Mediterranean Conference Migrante, which from 21 to 23 October will be developed in the Chamber of the Faculty of Arts on the campus of Merced.
The meeting will also include the participation of Professor at the University Lumiere-Lyon 2 (France) Marie Carmen Garcia, who will address the linkage between gender as a new problem in the field of French anti-racism.
Throughout the three days of the conference will be discussed issues such as migration flows in the Mediterranean, migration dynamics and restructuring of labor markets and family structure of migrants.
This activity is organized by the Department of Sociology and Social Policy at the University of Murcia and the research group of territorial restructuring and social inequality.
The opening ceremony will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 hours.
