"A door to the world" this is the quintessential definition of Braille, a method invented by Louis Braille literacy.
So, ONCE, to commemorate the bicentennial of his birth, has organized an exhibition itenerante by major Spanish cities showing different levels of perception to reach all potential audiences.
The exhibition is divided into three modules: Braille, short story, The Braille: the key to knowledge, and daily life.
The Deputy Mayor of Social Welfare and Promotion of Equality, María del Carmen Pelegrin, and the Councillor for Culture and European Programmes, Fatima Barnueno, presided this morning the official opening of the exhibition will be open to the public until next Friday, October 16.
During the presentation of the sample, the territorial delegate ONCE in the Region of Murcia, Agulera Augustine, has given Pelegrin, one of the volumes in Braille "Historical Sketch of Murcia and its Council."
After passing through the city of Murcia, the exhibition will come to Cartagena.
