Welcome 2009 from the University of Murcia (BUM), which will run from 13 to 23 October, will be new in this edition of the workshops and panel discussions devoted to equality between men and women and the prevention of gender violence.
Along with equality, solidarity, sport and culture form the other pillars of the BUM, it was announced today at a press conference in the convalescence, the rector, José Antonio Cobacho, and the Vice Rector of Students and Employment Maribel Sanchez-Mora.
The rector was a review of Welcome activities, including highlights, movie previews, a creative writing workshop, various exhibitions and plays.
The sport will be represented with football competitions, football, basketball, tennis and volleyball, as well as for activities including aerobics, pilates and spinning.
Entries are maintained at reduced rates for parties of Real Murcia, BC and El Pozo Murcia futsal.
The BUM is complete with the classic trip to Terra Mitica, informative lectures, which this year will have to astronomy as a protagonist, the show of university services, the open house or the concert-of-Melendi and Maldita Nerea in the Plaza de Toros, among others.
The Chairman of University Students (Ceumar), Antonio Lorente, referred to the value of this welcome, both in terms of coexistence, "the BUM is an opportunity for students of first relationships with peers and form friendships "- how to perceive the University as" average people builder. "
Lorente said the day of coexistence to be held on Thursday 22 October at the exhibition center of Fica and as President of Ceumar, is the largest gathering of college students throughout the Region of Murcia.
