Project Activities with Children host this year more than 1,300 children under 6 and 12 years of age (05/10/2009)

Truancy control, reconciling work and family life, and promote integration are some of the objectives of the EPI

More than 1,300 children in the municipality of Murcia, aged between 6 and 12 years of age, will benefit this year 2009-2010 Project Activities with Children (PAI), which held the Social Services City of Murcia .

The course last appeared in 32 points and the turnout was just over a thousand schools.

Thus, PAIs are a benchmark and Child Participation, where children of our town to enjoy a healthy, creative and fun, offering the opportunity to make and complete other fields such as socializing, school and family when they are deficient.

While socio-is a space that allows a group experiences that enhance and promote child development in cognitive, social, emotional, etc.

These projects seek to provide comprehensive and specialized attention to their needs and motivations related to the Entertainment & Leisure, with the following objectives:

Offer children alternatives to leisure to promote their development and their active participation, to prevent social maladjustment problems, strengthening the EU dimension of the project.

Promote activities of a non-formal education, that enable children to establish positive interpersonal relationships and healthy habits, boosting: teamwork, skills for improving self-esteem, respect for the environment, health education, peace education, tolerant attitudes, solidarity, gender equality, creativity and school integration.

Promoting the reconciliation of work and family life through activities outside school hours to provide better care for family and work responsibilities of adults responsible for minors.

Promote child participation in recreational, cultural and sporting activities, motivating and guiding them toward those that are appropriate to their interests and concerns.

Activities to facilitate participation and integration of immigrant children or socially disadvantaged backgrounds.

Promote activities and opportunities for participation and children's role in significant dates and holiday periods of Easter and Christmas, encouraging community involvement.

Control and monitoring of school absenteeism, those minors who are speaking from the centers of social services and have this problem.

This project is developed in the scope of the three Department of Social Services in different neighborhoods and districts of our town.

This year is expected to develop in 35 points in the municipality with an expected participation of more than 1,300 children at the following locations:

NORTH.

It develops in the following districts: Javalí Viejo, El Puntal, Guadalupe, Monteagudo, Puebla de Soto, Nonduermas, La Raya, the rainfed Ã‘ora Head of towers, corner Beniscornia, Cobatillas

SOUTH ZONE.

Valladolises, Avileses, Lobosillo, Sangonera la Seca, Rincon de Villanueva (Beniaján), Stables, The Palm and The Sucina Conesa (Lobosillo)

MURCIA CITY AREA.

The Albatalía, El Progreso, La Paz / Vistabella, Santa María de Gracia, Infante, San Anton, James the Greater, The Arboleja, San Pio X, El Carmen, San Andres, El Ranero, Barrio de San Antonio and Vistalegre.

The activities developed in the PAI are varied, and in any case try to adapt to the social reality in which they operate children, as well as their aspirations and / or motives, so that they are more attractive.

The activities, which develop in the afternoon from 16 to 18 hours, can be grouped into:

Sports and Physical Activities.

Dynamic expression and activities Manual.

Education Activities for Health and Environmental Conservation.

Activities Social Skills Development.

Activities that promote values and attitudes of tolerance, equality and solidarity.

Children's entertainment and socialization.

In late May is a meeting between all the children involved during the course of the project (intercountry) and likewise participate in other activities organized by the departments, Week of the Rights of Children and summer schools also participate in activities that develop in their neighborhoods and districts, such as carnivals, parties, etc.

Also this project serves as a socializing activity for educational intervention that is made from the centers of social services to minors.
