Pope Benedict XVI has confirmed the president of the UCAM, José Luis Mendoza, Consultant of the Pontifical Council for the Family.
The president of the Council, Cardinal Ennio Antonelli, announced this news to Mendoza by letter.
The President of the UCAM was appointed as consultant in the Family by the late Pope John Paul II in 2004.
Mendoza Benedict XVI confirmed in this position for the next five years.
