The Socialist Party calls for the PP to take the decisions necessary to send humanitarian aid to Pacific areas affected by natural disasters (02/10/2009)

Socialist Councillor Maria Dolores Abellon PP requests the City to articulate the necessary mechanisms for the delivery of humanitarian aid to areas of the south Pacific in recent days, have been devastated by natural catastrophes.

Through an internal communication, Abellon government claims that the team of La Glorieta, in coordination with the Spanish Agency for Development Cooperation, is intended by the type of relief that the authorities of affected countries demand.

The Socialists expressed their sympathy and solidarity with affected populations and recognize the work carried out by cooperating in areas of the world's disadvantaged and devastated.

The PSOE mayor hopes that the city of Murcia start as soon as the formalities for sending humanitarian aid to these areas to show solidarity with those affected, and in recognition of the hard work of all donors.
