The central dome of the Old Jail building has collapsed this morning around 8.15 am, as reported residents of the area.
Local firefighters and police went immediately to the building and, accompanied by a local architect and one of the Inland Revenue, could determine who had collapsed the dome covering the central courtyard and the holding structure.
After carefully inspecting the building has been shown that, in principle, the rest of the building is well and suffers no structural damage.
This building belongs to the tax.
The City Council in 2007 signed a cooperation protocol for the transfer of property in exchange for ceding to the tax office two parcels of 3,300 square meters, enters the Avenida Juan Carlos I Juan de Borbón.
This city landmark has been closed for more than 25 years.
In its nearly 20,000 square meters, the City - if finally gets the property, plans to create a cultural space open to the city and to reclaim and rehabilitate the area.
