The Director General for Cultural Promotion, Antonio Martínez, this morning the first days 'Music in the Region of Murcia: current status and future prospects', which will involve all the sectors involved and organized by the newly created Association of Composers Music and researchers in the Region of Murcia (ICMM).
The conference, to be held from 1 to 3 October in the Auditorium and Congress Center Victor Villegas, intended to "reflect on the state of music in the region and combine this analysis and review of the music with the look Murcia more professional, "Martinez said at the press conference, which was accompanied by President of Cimma, Javier Arza, and Vice President, Cristina Pina.
Martinez said "the claim of completeness and scientific nature" of the conference "to face the music from the professional perspective."
The program of the conference is "open" and consists of eight papers, 25 submissions, two panel discussions in which address, among other areas, folklore, music associations, composers, and musicological research.
Participate qualified experts within and outside the region to "explore the music Murcia in the last 30 years, to make a diagnosis on the state of music in the region and build a better future of music," said Martinez.
In addition, there will be a recital by pianist Isaac István from Hungary with a repertoire of composers Murcia Mariano Medina, Jose Aguera, César Cánovas, J.
García Escudero, Anton Roch, Julian Santos and Miguel Franco, with a play that will premiere.
There will also be a concert of instrumental Cimma section, with five world premieres and works all composed in the last nine years by composers Murcia.
