Eleven artists from Murcia, Creajoven Contest Winners 2008, have represented our town in the fourteenth edition of the International Biennial of Young Artists from Europe and the Mediterranean, which has developed in Skopje (Macedonia) from 3 to September 12, 2009.
Multicisciplinar event, the largest of its kind, allows contrasting the current state of pop art in the European countries bordering the Mediterranean, so it is a privileged place for expression, communication, training and exchange of ideas between young artists .
A total of 42 countries were represented in this edition of Skopje, with more than 700 artists and 300 productions in total has been arguably one of the most interesting of those held to date.
Forty-three artists from Murcia, Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Sevilla, Malaga, Salamanca and Jerez have been the Spanish delegation, among which Murcia with 11 artists, one of the largest delegations.
Mimaia Theatre Arts, Mary Rozalén in Music, Food David Lopez, Juan Lopez Santacruz in Photography, Visual Arts Laura Tortosa, José Manuel Carrasco Motion Picture and Salvador Espin in Comics, have excelled in their respective disciplines, obtaining critical recognition, operators, technicians and artists from other participating cities, giving clear evidence of artistic quality and creative vitality that emerges in our city.
