We have already taken the final step to begin construction of the road linking cyclable Avenida Juan Carlos I to the Campus of the University of Murcia.
The Board of Governors approved the final award to the company San Patricio Forum execution of these works with an investment of almost 200,000 euros.
This will allow a period of three months to reach the Campus of Espinardo using a sustainable mode of transport and healthy as is the bicycle.
This section zero starts at the intersection of Avenida Juan Carlos I and Counts of Barcelona street where there is an initial tranche of the bike lane developed through partial plans, primarily the so-called CR-5.
Whole section is built on the existing pavement, removing the floor and pouring the green chipboard for the area designated for bicycles.
The total project connecting the village with the campuses of the UMU and the UCAM is divided into three sections: the section 0, which has 3.4 km and that is what wins today, the section 1, 6.6 km, which will go to the campus of Catholic University and the route will start at the existing rail that runs along the river Mota, through the oxbow between corner and corner Beniscornia Seca, the lane of Cherry and Guadalupe Road until you reach the UCAM, and a last section for the connection between the two campuses, with a length of 2.9 kilometers.
The total investment amounts to € 400,000 has been made possible thanks to an agreement with the Ministry of Public Works.
