Note from PSOE:
The Socialist councilor Alfonso Navarro claims that the city of Murcia in 2008 spent over 336 million in current expenditure, while the money dedicated to investment amounts to about € 56,043,485.
At more than 336 million euros for costs and liabilities (debt), add current transfers, staff costs and expenditure on goods and services flows raising this amount to a total current expenditure in excess of 900,000 euros per day (data from the 2008 budget, volume I, liquidation of state expenditure, page 1).
From these figures it follows, according to Navarro, 6 euros for every current expenditure, the Consistory Murcia only spends 1 euro investments, € 56,043,485, representing a meager 27.4% over the amount budgeted .
Reduce unnecessary expenses
In this situation, the mayor of the PSOE a need to drastically reduce the current expenditure of City Hall in superfluous and unnecessary items such as advertising and propaganda, protocol and representation expenses, travel and miscellaneous expenses, among others, and transfer that money to productive items social spending and investment as
