Murcia hosts from tomorrow through Thursday, September 3 to 35 young Europeans to discuss climate change, global warming and the greenhouse effect.
This is an initiative of the Department of Youth, directed by María Dolores Sánchez, along with the Department of Environment and Urban Quality, who runs Adela Martínez-Cache, and Caja de Ahorros del Mediterráneo.
The objective of this project, called "With energy climate change ', is to extract ideas on how you can from the associations, schools and youth groups to promote personal behavior committed to the environment.
Participants will become 'Ecolíderes' to be responsible for raising awareness and implementing initiatives that help stop global warming, providing local solutions.
Since the public plays a key role because it emits 60% of emissions of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.
This initiative is funded by the Youth Programme of the European Commission.
Young people, from Murcia, Turin (Italy), Mecklenburg (Germany), Slovenia, Kokkola (Finland), discussed in the Environmental Education Center of the CAM (CEMACAM of Torregüil) proposals to slow the rate of gas emissions greenhouse effect and climate change effects.
The theme of the exchange is the need for young people feel committed to the environment and act in line, reinventing forms of communication to convey the message to others.
Also, inquire into the causes of global warming solutions.
Among the activities planned during the celebration of this project is attending conferences on climate change and environmental education centers, visits to solar energy installations in the municipality as a center of alternative energy, visit a nature reserve and conducting workshops good environmental practices.
This project aims to:
-To promote a forum for discussion on good environmental practices by developing projects that can be applied in the environment of young people
-Create working groups to obtain materials that can provide other associations.
And create an energy audit can be implemented by other organizations
-Establish actions designed for young people to improve access to information and educate young people from the environmental impact of our daily activities
-To promote actions against climate change among youth associations
-Analyze the real involvement of youth in environmental initiatives
-To promote the interest of young people to improve the environmental quality of the community in which they live by participating in activities
-Strengthen cooperation between public and private actors working in the field of environment
-Promote the organization of activities, workshops, competitions and meetings to disseminate information on global warming, greenhouse effect and climate change
-Promote the creation of a network of youth organizations committed to the environment they get a minimization of the environmental impact of their daily activities
