Murcia City Council, through the Department of Youth and Employment, headed Lola Sanchez, is providing training programs in initial vocational training to 11 youth groups in 9 different specialties, with a total of 154 students this year.
A total of 112 companies in the county favor the practical training of students to complete their qualification and incorporated before the labor market.
The Initial Vocational Training Programs are aimed at young people aged 16 to 20 who have not obtained a Certificate in Secondary Education in order to facilitate their employment.
Since 1993 these courses were taught in 149 to 2039 students from public files.
The program is two academic years: In the first, the city of Murcia taught modules intended to obtain a professional qualification Level 1 National Vocational Qualifications Catalogue and various training modules.
The second, which is voluntary, is offered by secondary schools to obtain a degree in ESO.

(FCT), which consists of a supervised training that takes place in a real job, directed to complete the acquisition of skills.
These practices work (unpaid) have a duration of 150 hours that are performed in the month of July and to carry out, the City has the support of numerous companies in the municipality.
The program start date was December 9, 2008, and is expected to end with the students on September 30, 2009.
The program has the following profiles:
Assistant Chef, Assistant Facilities Electrical and Communications Assistant Aesthetic Operator Plumbing - Air conditioning, Hair Assistants, Computer Assistants, De Banks - Painter, Welding and Metal construction, and maintenance of vehicles.
The total number of enrolled students has been of 154 youth in 11 profiles.
Of these, 2 students have learning disabilities and 7 from diversification or have a report of its center of origin for diversity.
There have been 47 students immigrants (25 Ecuadorians, 14 Moroccan, 6 Bolivian, 1 Colombian, 1 Portuguese).
In the training phase in work, have signed 100 agreements with various companies in the municipality of Murcia.
The forecasts for the completion of the course is that most students pass the training period and can holder in the qualification in which they are formed.
In relation to educational inclusion, nearly 40% say they intend to continue studies in the second year of PCPI for obtaining the Certificate in ESO.
