IU + Councillor for the Greens in Murcia, Esther Herguedas has reported today that the public library in the hamlet of Cabezo de Torres is closed for renovations for one year, although the council announced its reopening by the end of 2008.
Herguedas indicated that Torres Cabezo neighbors do not have the equipment and space needed to study or look up information, as a fraction of the funds of the library was moved to a shelf in the auditorium of the parish.
In this regard, stressed the need for the works completed "soon" so that users can use the services of the library, and not have to move to the auditorium, "where there are very few books and space for consultation."
