The Ideas Forum Optimistic I was selected in the National Congress of Architects of Spain, which was held in Valencia

yesterday held the first working session with the chairmen and members of Municipal Councils and District Boards of the municipality.
The purpose of this meeting was to inform all the project Municipal Councils Aleop!, I Do Optimistic ideas, so that citizens are made and to work and submit their 'good ideas' to improve the quality of life, employment and living space in the municipality of Murcia.
This meeting is part of the first phase of the project, which is already underway.
Those attending the meeting to fund the initiative met in order to transmit to other members of the Municipal Board and the residents of his parish.
This project has been launched by the Planning Department and the College of Architects of Murcia (COAMU), and has already joined the initiative more than 250 associations and institutions.

"Positive approach to proposals

-Create a place of sharing ideas with citizens' forums, political and economic
The developmental stages of the project are:
Phase where we are today and that is that associations and neighborhood committees make proposals (opportunities) on its surroundings (urban type, social, economic ...).
The aim is to strengthen the role of citizens' associations as a valid and active as a detector of problems and opportunities.
This series of initiatives will become a 'Mapping of opportunity', a document that forward the vision of the needs of citizens from their own point of view.
All proposals must have a positive approach.
Of all the proposals, a Multidisciplinary Scientific Committee will select six ideas.
These proposals will receive a cash prize.
The six proposals will become the subject of study in various universities in Spain (Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid, Universidad Europea de Madrid, Granada, Valencia, Murcia ...).
So thousands of people work on projects of social interest.
Winning proposals will be selected and awarded prizes.
The final session of this great workshop will be held in a sports hall of Murcia where the greatest number of students will work both on these proposals.
Optimistic Idea will be selected 2009.

The ultimate goal is to export the model to other parts of the Region, municipalities and countries, generating collaboration and exchange.
