A total of 154 Murcia have learned a trade during this course in the School of Education and Employment Initiatives of El Palmar.
Vocational Training Program of the City has allowed these students to learn skills, such as masonry, painter, welding, cooking, hairdressing, beauty, computers, plumbing, air conditioning and vehicle maintenance assistant.
During the month of July, all of them put into practice what they learned in 88 companies with which the council has signed agreements, including Barber Aroca Fernández, Io Planet, Hotel Catalonia Conde de Floridablanca and Astoria coffee machine.
In September, when the program ends, may choose to join the workforce or enrolling in secondary schools to pursue a voluntary modules which, if approved, will lead to obtaining the Diploma in ESO.

The Autonomous Community of Murcia has provided this project with a grant of 528,000 euros.
The Initial Vocational Training Program are regulated by the Organic Law of Education, as an alternative training for students who have not completed secondary education (ESO).
The goal of these programs is to enable all l @ s alumn @ s achieve professional competences of a Level 1 qualification than those in the National Catalogue of Professional Qualifications, enabling a successful job placement and / or the attainment of the Diploma in secondary education who are interested in further study.
