The City Council has obtained the land to open a new road linking Acisclo Diaz Santiago Steps.
The Planning Advisory Board has finally adopted the draft direct occupation of the land to open this new street.
The road, which will be 72 meters long and one lane in each direction, will improve the circulation in that area.
After obtaining the land works will begin soon, so that the new street could be opened to traffic before the end of the year.
The new road is on land, next to the garden of saltpeter, which have a gross area of 11,097 meters, of which 9,967 meters square is private and the rest (1,130 square meters) is for the road.
These lands are divided into two blocks for building.
In the extreme south-east of the plot is the Chapel, Chapel of the Cross that must be preserved because it is listed in the chest (Special Plan of a Historical Site of Murcia).
