Optics Laboratory at the University of Murcia, headed by Professor Pablo Artal, has been elected to undertake the organization of the VIII International Conference on Adaptive Optics in Industry and Medicine.
The appointment has been made during the congress held in Moscow, which has brought together scientists and other specialists in adaptive optics worldwide.
The University of Murcia was chosen to organize the next congress, held in 2011 in this city, compared to applications submitted by research teams from several countries, including France and South Africa.
Adaptive optics is a technology that allows to obtain better images and have important medical and industrial applications.
Optics Laboratory at the University of Murcia is one of the leading research groups in the world in the application of these technologies to improve human vision.
