The course "Communication and dissemination of R + D + I: a strategic challenge" was inaugurated today in a ceremony that was presided by the rector of the University of Murcia, José Antonio Cobacho, and the Minister of Universities, Salvador Marín.
After the opening, which was held in the auditorium of the Faculty of Computer Science, examined the social perception of research in Spain and how to increase the interest of youth and citizenship in science.
The first day will also focus on popular science in the media, with a panel discussion which will, among other journalists, with the science program director of TVE "Tres14" Sebastian Grinschpun.
Tomorrow, 18, will address the role of government in the dissemination of research, with special emphasis on that is made from the universities.
Thus, in a round table setting out the key actions carried out since the Regional Agency for Science and Technology, National Research Council and the Department of Promotion of Research at the University of Murcia (PRINUMA).
The course is part of the program at the University of Mar and is led by Professor Juan Maria Vazquez, Vice President of Research of the educational institution.
