The Minister of Agriculture attended today as activities organized to mark the World Environment Day (05/06/2009)

The Minister of Agriculture and Water, Antonio Cerdá, with the mayor of Murcia, Miguel Ángel Cámara, today attended the activities organized on the Malecon on the occasion of World Environment Day.

The owner of Agriculture said that the Region of Murcia is "daily doing sustainability" in environmental conservation.

Said, "This commitment begins in agriculture, which is a potent sink for CO2, and efficient water management," noting that "Murcia has a very small water footprint" and to "consume three percent of water irrigation in Spain and exports 20 percent of total national fruit and vegetables. "
