The Councillor for Culture and European Programmes, Fatima Barnuevo, closed this morning the cycle of readings performed during the academic year in IES Floridablanca (Murcia).
Barnuevo has chosen an excerpt from the book 'La Sonrisa Etrusca' by José Luis Sampedro to read to students and teachers at the school.
The Councillor explained that has fond memories of this book, he read as a teen and wanted to share with members of the Institute.
The Department of Spanish Language and Literature at IES Floridablanca takes two years conducting a series of readings held every Tuesday during recess from 11.00 pm in the school library.
In readings participating teachers and students.
The objective of this initiative is to promote reading habit among the young.
The cycle will begin again in September with the start of the new course.
