380,000 euros to facilitate the transport of the UMU to college campuses and San Javier Espinardo (29/05/2009)

The Governing Council has approved a grant of 380,000 euros to the company of Murcia Passenger Transport SLU, official dealer of the lines of urban and suburban bus bound for the University campus located in Espinardo Murcia and San Javier.

This support of the Ministry of Universities, Business and Research will allow some 25,000 university students are saving $ 0.20 on each trip they make to the above campus.

The aim is to promote the use of public transport, which involves an optimization of resources, energy savings, travel safety and the preservation of the environment, while helping to reduce the cost of educating families their children.

Annually there are more than a million trips from the village, hamlets and villages near to the campus Murcia Espinardo Murcia and into the new campus of San Javier.
