The V Congress of Science and Food Technology has addressed this morning in its third day, the topic of functional foods today.
Through a round table chaired by the director of the Soil Science and Applied Biology Segura (CEBAS), Francisco Tomas Barberan, the speakers, including Deputy Director General for Scientific Coordination of the Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition, Jesus Campos, have agreed to recognize as one of the main reasons for the proliferation of functional foods, the desire of society to live longer, accompanied by a higher quality of life.
