The MOBEAW European project partners, among which is the Energy Management Agency of the Region of Murcia (Argema) under the Ministry of Universities and Research Company, today held its fourth meeting in Murcia to explain the progress made with this project.
Argema makers reported the action to be held soon with the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) so that this educational community, consisting of 7,200 people, adopt energy saving measures.
To this end, develop an awareness campaign under the slogan 'Think of me', through posters and brochures, website UPCT, and dissemination of e-mails with messages such as 'hope', 'do it for you' 'consciousness' or 'future'.
In a recent survey, students at the University indicated that saving energy can take different measures such as use of natural light, turn off appliances and facilities not in use, put light sensors and even raise the educational community savings and energy efficiency.
MOBEAW the European project, which is part of the Intelligent Energy for Europe, aims to implement initiatives that help reduce energy consumption among the citizens, so that the short and medium term are to improve access, the quantity and quality of information and awareness material for responsible drinking and to establish support structures and incentives for campaigns.
With this project, in which organizations are also involved in the UK, Ireland and Latvia, as well as Spain (represented by Fundación Asturiana Argema and Energy), is expected to get a clear reduction in energy consumption and savings multiply this by demonstrating other organizations how to raise awareness of its efficient use.
