The Minister of Social Policy, Women and Migration, Joaquín Bascuñana, and the rector of the University of Murcia (UMU), José Antonio Cobacho, today signed a protocol to develop programs and activities for the training of volunteer involved in the proceedings both institutions jointly carried on Development Cooperation.
During 2009, and by virtue of the agreement, councils and universities have agreed to hold two training courses, an Introduction to the Analysis of Projects for Development Cooperation and the other on Assessment and Monitoring of Development Cooperation Projects.
Both courses are aimed at people interested in international cooperation, members of NGOs, technicians from the regional government and other actors of decentralized cooperation.
In addition, the management protocol includes a grant program to train future cooperating on issues affecting the development and progress of society and to do internships in development cooperation projects.
Practices will allow 10 students in several programs that are running in Mexico, Ecuador, Brazil, Cuba and Bolivia.
Also worth noting that the Ministry is responsible for room and board scholarship while UMU funds the cost of air tickets of those selected.
