3,400 students from 38 schools participated in the event, which this year celebrates its twentieth edition

With this objective the City of Murcia has been calling for 20 years Local Competition Driver Education and Accident Prevention, which has given awards this morning the Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, in a ceremony held at the Plenary Hall, which has also attended by the Councillor for Education and Personal Safety and Traffic, Pilar Megía and Nuria Fuentes, respectively.
Of the 4,578 students in 3 º ESO of the municipality, 3402, 74% -, 38 schools have participated in this edition.
Of these students are expected to become the future in good drivers, respecting traffic rules and road safety.
Are students of 3 º ESO, which are the youngest drivers on public roads and, therefore, the population at the most to touch on prevention, especially through education.
To do this, students had to overcome various multiple-choice tests over 3 phases developed throughout the school year.
The competition assesses both participation of centers as individual effort made by students.
The contest began last February and concluded on 12 May.
Thus, completed the 1st phase, conducted during February and first fortnight of March, which ended with the intervention of 3402 students from 38 schools selected by each of the 126 students participating classrooms to obtain more than 80 points.
The second phase was held on 27 March in the auditorium of the local police, which brought together 336 students from 112 teams.
The third and final phase took place on 12 May.

To celebrate this twentieth edition of the competition, the city has enjoyed the cooperation of the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment and the Directorate General of Traffic, and the following companies and organizations: Murtrafic, Honda-Rieju, CAM, Motomura, Párraga Appliances, Leo Photo Lab, Learning Materials Azarbe, Novograf Printing, Cajamar Marvimundo and Mabelia Perfume.
