Mayor pleases his "efforts and dedication to Murcia at 40 retirees this year (22/05/2009)

The Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, thanked his "efforts and dedication to Murcia" the 40 employees of the City Council in 2009 reach retirement.

Coinciding with the feast of St. Rita, patroness of the Local Government, the Plenary Hall has welcomed this morning the act of homage to the city employees who have completed their careers.

Chamber has awarded a badge and a shield of the City to each of the workers "as a token of our appreciation to those who have saved the best of themselves in public employment in the service of Murcia and Murcia."

Among the officials who are retiring this year are 13 ordinances and janitors, 10 members of the local police and 3 employees of Aguas de Murcia, as well as inspectors of planners, architects, engineers, officials and drivers.

In three cases have turned their widows, having caused the death of municipal employees by the end of last year.
