ALUM organize a panel discussion on the European Higher Education Area (Bologna Curriculum) (20/05/2009)

The Bologna process is an agreement signed in 1999 the education ministers of the European Union in the Italian city of Bologna.

It was a joint statement initiated a process of convergence that had as objectives to facilitate the exchange of graduate and adapt the content of university courses to social demands.

The Bologna Declaration led to the creation of the European Higher Education Area, an area that is incorporated outside countries including the European Union and to serve as a framework for education reforms.

For many sectors of society, the Bologna process beyond what was signed in Bologna, understanding all aspects of university reform that are considered important, especially those relating to the financing of public universities, and has many detractors and opponents.

Therefore, from the Association of Students of Arts from the University of Murcia (ALUM), it is intended that this panel, board and go to the root of possible questions that arise every day among students in the region, thus facilitating transcendental information of vital importance within the University and teaching.

This panel will provide their presentations and invited the following perspectives:

This panel will address issues such as "Training and Continuing Education", "Plan EHEA in Spain", or "Reviews and Arguments."

It will be a roundtable quite dynamic and innovative, since attendees may send to the speakers all doubts about the new curriculum, and also you can see both point of view of the CARM, Murcia University, as UCAM (Catholic University of San Antonio).

In the words of President Joaquin Lara: "We are absolutely convinced that this roundtable will address many questions that students today know much about this new curriculum.

We saw the need for this round table and that is why since ALUM, we hope that after this roundtable all students attending the ideas go well located and with more knowledge about the new European Higher Education Area that is about to be implemented. "
