Bayou Brothers will perform a concert on Thursday May 21, at 22 am in the Plaza de Europa.
The inspiration for this group come from France is the Afro-American deep south mixed with traditional gospel, blues and Cajun rhythms, capturing all its emotional charge.
With a personal style, the trio-Siryel Werck, voice and guitar, Christian Benard, voice and piano and David Bardy, voice and percussion, addresses the groove and swing, and various rhythmic and melodic variations on a repertoire of high-energy communication, which is also open to modern arrangements.
With a solid rhythm section instruments, these three artists know how to thrill audiences with their three warm-up voices.
Also tomorrow, at 21 pm in the University Senate, Curro Piñana perform a concert accompanied by the guitars of his brother Carlos Piñana and Francisco González Tornero, singing and percussion and cello Francis Light Spray Pinar.
Titled "The soul hurt and Other Poems", the singer will voice to a selection of poems by Ibn Gabirol, the great poet of the Sephardic tradition, medieval romances and other Jews as well as new songs.
Antonio Parra, with the collaboration of María Martínez-historical documentation has been responsible for the selection of these poems that reflected various aspects of this long tradition of poetry, from romances connected with love, games or social life of the time ( legends of kings, princesses) that refer to Moses or the religious rites of the Jewish community.
They are romances that in some cases still will sound familiar, as it remained in popular memory long after the expulsion of the Jews and even the time of our grandparents.
