Note from PSOE:
The spokesman for the PSOE, José María Alarcón, regrets the lack of transparency in municipal management house, who continues to deny information to the Socialist Group on issues relevant to citizenship, and calls for urgent meeting in special session and on time, full committee for Social Affairs and Social Welfare
The long tenure of the PP in La Glorieta is causing a progressive loss of transparency in municipal management, with a government that works out of the darkness, back to citizens' concerns and information hiding in a systematic way the political groups to enable them to its task of control from the opposition.
The lack of transparency and its council chamber is, according to the spokesman of the PSOE, José María Alarcón, an infallible proof of the undemocratic spirit of a city government tainted by years of power and lack of responsiveness to citizens' problems.
It is not the first nor the second time, Alarcon denounced that the PP is trying to prevent with its authority, our political task.
This time, he says, the government team has spent three months without calling the Social Affairs Committee.
His answer: it is not necessary, as it is not necessary to respond to requests and questions to be made in writing in plenary, to cite another example.
Extraordinary
At this point, explains the spokesman of the PSOE, the Socialist Party has requested in writing to the mayor Chamber urgent convening an extraordinary session and on time, the plenary committee of Social Affairs and Social Welfare.
In that committee, the Socialists call for addressing the following issues:
What is the status of efforts made to CARM to operate the Emergency Service of Primary Care in the northern municipality as well as the restoration of the service in the health centers from the rest of the municipality in the time slot from 15.00 to 17.00 hours, suppressed by the Health Service CARM?
Has the City Council some information from the Ministry of Education on the research done or would do about the possible consequences of pollution which may involve asbestos materials installed in public schools in the municipality?
"The Department of Personnel can detail what services or councils is intended for forecasting of spending in the 2009 municipal budget for the payment of overtime for a total of 2,663,000 euros, and how much of this provision means each of those services and councils?
"We hope that this time they behave like politicians to serve the citizens and stop tripping our work, which is simply to ensure transparent governance and municipal services," he says Alarcón.
