Students at the University of Murcia have won a year several first prizes at the European Championship Sensory Analysis of Dairy Products held in the Finnish university Hamka.
In the section on individual awards, a student at the University of Murcia Hector Sarmiento was runner-up in milk, in Emmentaler cheese and butter Aura and champion, while his partner Barbara Alarcon won third prize in Butter and Cheese Oltermanni.
Sarmiento also secured the award for Best Sampler of all products.
As for the awards for the group, the representatives of France remained in first position, followed secondly by the University of Murcia and, thirdly, by the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
Murcia representation was made also by the professor of the Faculty of Veterinary Eduardo Ferrandini.
