The president of the Community, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, along with the mayor of Murcia, Miguel Ángel Cámara, today inaugurated the sculpture that pays homage to the hundred years of the College of Nursing in the Region of Murcia.
With this project, located in the access to the Hospital Reina Sofía de Murcia, said the president, "we remember the dedication and work of this collegiate body and the entire professional group of nursing in the hundred years of history" and said, "there is a permanent point of agreement between the nurse and the city of Murcia Murcia, which come together to beautify the city streets with this monument."
Through this work, entitled 'Tribute to nursing', we have tried to help enrich the heritage city of Murcia, and shows the contribution of this group Murcia health, and therefore was chosen for its location entry Hospital Reina Sofía.
The sculptor Miguel Llamas has created this bronze sculpture, whose image depicts the centenary of the school and will now remain as its new corporate image.
Llamas is also author of the sculpture tribute to the party of the Burial of the Sardine, located on the river Segura.
Health nurses are the closest to being of patients, so this tribute, said Valcárcel, is also recognized by the society his "calling" altruism and dedication to the citizens.
