High School Students award winners of the II Olympiad in Informatics have received their awards during a ceremony held on the campus of Espinardo, University of Murcia.
The Olympiad consisted of two competitions, one of which referred to projects, with modalities for ESO students and high school students, and the other to solve problems, with individual modes of programming and troubleshooting.
They were also given special awards for the best students and most important centers.
As top students were recognized Beatrice Quiles, María del Carmen Abellán, Ana Maria Romero and Ana Gutierrez, and the best sites were the Marist College Fuensanta La Merced, which ranked first, and the school Santa Maria de la Paz, Murcia, ranked second.
The event, which was chaired by the rector of the University, José Antonio Cobacho, was also attended by the rector Francisco Guillermo Diaz and Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science, Jose Manuel Garcia, together with the teacher coordinator of the Olympiad, Ginés García.
