The international expert in genomic analysis of complex diseases Gayán Javier Guardiola offer morning, day 7, a lecture at the University of Murcia in the seminar of the Mathematics Department.
Gayán Guardiola (Seville, 1969) has been a teacher and statistical consultant in several Latin American universities and is considered one of the first specialists in the analysis of the genetic study of these diseases will be the central theme of his lecture.
The technological advances of recent years have made possible the analysis methods of statistical association of variants in the genome.
The result has been the discovery of dozens of genes involved in the etiology of complex diseases that are caused by both genetic and environmental factors.
Guardiola Gayán give his lecture in the auditorium of the Faculty of Mathematics, at 17:00.
