Caisse d'Epargne team led by José Luis Jaimerena and composed by Alejandro Valverde, Andrey Amador, Nicolas Portal, Xabier Zandio, Anthony Charteau, Rigoberto Uran, Alberto Losada and Pablo Lastras, gave a brilliant performance in the third stage of the Tour Romandie, a team time trial of 14.8 kilometers organized around the town of Yverdon-les-Bains and qualified in second place and ten seconds of Team Columbia who scored the stage.
Alejandro Valverde, eighth in the standings this morning to 36 seconds of the Swiss Gregory Rast, is now the fourth at 19 seconds of the new leader, Czech Frantisek Rabon, on the eve of the 4th stage, where the route might be difficult to port second and three first.
