The Councillor for Environment and Urban Quality and vice president of the Local Agency for Energy and Climate Change, Adela Martinez-Cacho, has kicked out the Green Homes project, attending the first meeting with families interested in your home more efficient.
About 150 families have attended this first meeting, although the project is open to all wishing to participate Murcia.
The project aims to achieve a more sustainable management of households involved through behavioral change in the water and energy consumption, saving money on your bills and reducing emissions.
In the meeting they explained what the initiative undertaken by the council, Aguas de Murcia and the Local Agency for Energy and Climate Change and the method of work that will continue.
They were also distributed material and an initial questionnaire will help us understand the current state of your home and where influence to get water and energy saving.
Similarly, they presented a kit of energy and water savings, which will be provided at the next meeting and will be allocated a guide for saving energy in the home that will support them throughout the program.
The kit, valued at one hundred euros, includes, among other things, a low-energy bulb, aerators, reducing flow and a savings system for tankers.
Part of this kit has been donated by the Public Entity for Water.
Participants will be convened quarterly in small group meetings to exchange information on key issues and practices, they offer personalized service, telephone or email with the doubts that arise and materials will be provided with information and practical advice.
For those who get to turn your home into a Green Home will receive a special badge.
The overall program objective is to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases and decrease between 6 and 10% of domestic water consumption and energy.
