The councilman of Culture, Fátima Barnuevo has traveled to Valencia today to temporarily lease the score of the Hymn of the Master Valencia Serrano, who was in the Municipal Archives, the city's mayor, Rita Barberá.
The document will form part of an exhibition commemorating the centenary of the Valencia Regional Exhibition 1909, which was first played the anthem, and will also allow experts from the Valencian Institute of Music (IVM) complete a study on historical and musician anthem.
The score of the Hymn of Valencia is owned by the City of Murcia from the April 23, 1958.
The widow gave so selflessly to become part of the auction that took place in 1957, organized by Youth Radio in the interests of those affected by floods in Valencia.
It was purchased by the Union of Transport for 25,000 pesetas and then donated to the city of Murcia for their conservation in the Municipal Archives.
The score is accompanied by a manuscript from the widow of the Maestro Serrano, Isaura González Saporta, which reads 'God bless the generous giver to acquire the manuscripts of the Hymn of Valencia'
