The collaboration between Aguas de Murcia and the City will allow the NGO Cooperation Assembly for Peace rehabilitate an old well in the Mauritanian town Nievrare which will facilitate access to safe drinking water to a total of 2,900 people.
This was the winning of 10,000 Euros from the first edition, 'Aguas de Murcia solidarity', which were a total of six nonprofit organizations and that the councils have been sworn on the Environment and Urban Quality , Youth and Employment and Development Cooperation.
The project, called "Improving the conditions of access to drinking water in the town of Nievrare in Comuna de Boer Toress, Wilaya of Trarza, Mauritania" will act in two areas: the rehabilitation of the old well which will facilitate access Nievrare water to the population and conducting an information campaign and awareness on health and environment hygiene and water conservation.
Is already preparing the ground for the second competition to be published in June on the website www.emuasa.es
