1,250,000 euros for Supercomputer Center Science Park Ben Arabi of Murcia (24/04/2009)

The Governing Council has approved a grant to the Science Park Foundation Murcia, amounting to 1,250,000 euros, to finance the provision of infrastructure consolidation and Advanced Supercomputing Center Ben Arabi.

Specifically, this amount is devoted to the acquisition of equipment and software necessary for the operation of one of the most powerful data centers that are being installed in Spain, which will facilitate increased competitiveness of the regional Science , Technology and Enterprise.

This action is included in the process launched by the Science Park Foundation, for providing research and business community in the region of a calculation tool of scientific and technical class that promotes technology transfer and research work as key elements for creating technology-based companies.
