Reading has been conducted continuously since 2000
The Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, has remained true to his appointment with the continued reading organized by the Museo Ramón Gaya to commemorate World Book Day.
On this occasion, the protagonist has been Pedro García Montalvo, whose work has been read fragments.
In particular, the Chamber has read a part for "Some notes on Meninas", published in the Bulletin of Ramón Gaya Museum in October 2001.
At the gates of the cultural building in the popular Plaza de Santa Catalina, has taken place, as every year, the continued reading of an author.
This year marks the tenth anniversary celebration of the continued reading at the Museum, since its first edition organized in 2000.
At that time started with the work of Ramón Gaya and later editions the honorees were Miguel Espinosa, Pedro Cobos, German Francisco Sainz, Juan Garcia Abellan, Jose Ballester, José Sánchez Moreno, Antonio Oliver and Joseph Marino González Vidal.
The reading took place continuously throughout the day, from 10 am to 12 pm.
In addition to the Mayor, participated in reading the Councillor for Culture, Fátima Barnuevo, counselors Bascuñana Joaquín María Pedro Reverte, Constantine Sotoca and Pedro Alberto Cruz, Rector of the University of Murcia, José Antonio Cobacho, President of the Chamber of Commerce , Pedro García Balibrea, the director of the Foundation CajaMurcia, Jose Moreno and the wife of Pedro García Montalvo, Encarnacion Segura, who will open the reading marathon.
Moreover since last night until next Sunday, on the balconies of the streets of Tatters and Silver have hung banners in collaboration with El Corte Inglés, with poems from 54 renowned contemporary artists, including José María Álvarez Ramon Gaya, Juan Manuel Bonet, Luis Alberto de Cuenca, Eloy Sánchez Rosillo or Mari Trini.
