The professor of the Faculty of Arts Francisco Florit will be responsible for organizing the award now "Vargas Llosa" novel, which each year promoting the University of Murcia and Caja Mediterráneo.
Florit Francisco, who is director of the Department of Spanish Literature, Literary Theory and Comparative Literature professor also replace Victor Polo, retired a few months ago and recently was offered a university honor for this reason.
Florit said today that its printing projects is the more institutional aspects and the call for help to increase their outreach, especially in Latin American countries, while the chancellor José Antonio Cobacho, highlighted the efforts made by Polo.
For his part, Angel Martinez, president of the Caja Mediterráneo Territorial Council, said the award is "a success" each year by the high number of entries received and their quality, and added he would not rule that in the near future agreed to increase its funding.
