Miguel Ángel Cámara bakers and thanked sponsors for their collaboration in the celebration organized by the Municipality of Murcia
The Mayor of Murcia, Miguel Ángel Cámara, congratulated this morning to all Murcia for their exemplary participation in the First Day of Meatloaf, the great party organized by the city of Murcia and met last night in the square about Belluga 10,000 people who could enjoy the benefits of the flagship of our gastronomy.
The meeting, which took place without incident and in perfect order, showed respect and cordiality of Murcia at the time of welcoming hundreds of tourists joined the party.
In total, over 10,000 were handed out meat loaf and not exhausted stocks.
The Mayor thanked the cooperation of the regional Confectioners Association, who was commissioned from the Mayor sharing the cake.
Thus, Murcia fifty bakeries were involved in the party.
His contribution was to charge each cake at half price, in an attempt to promote this event which resulted in a resounding success.
The event began at 20.00 am and went on until 22.00, when the last Murcia received their meatloaf.
During that time there was a long line that started at the door of the cathedral and spread through several city streets.
The high number of bakers who served this prized delicacy allowed speedy delivery.
Similarly, the Mayor thanked Estrella de Levante and Murcia waters their participation as sponsors of the event, which will continue over the coming years.
