Note from Dr. Gloria María Tomás Garrido:
With the greatest respect for every person I wish to state the following:
"The theme of the conference I gave at the University of Alicante verse about the person as a sexual body, on that basis scientifically developed different lines.
"The video and the comments collected in the media are part of a conversational response to one of the questions that the students did.
On the subject of homosexuality I express the following:
From the point of view of molecular biology there is no gene that defines it, hence not a decisive factor in the person, despite that a significant number of men and women have homosexual tendencies, instinctive, in many cases, gives them a stern test.
-From the ethical point of view every human person has an innate ontological dignity, inalienable and indivisible.
The has, of course, homosexuals.
-From the Catholic faith, whose gift I have been fortunate to receive, and as I said, I welcome homosexuals with respect and sensitivity.
But I do not consider them, but homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered, while contrary to natural law - the basis of human dignity "and that, therefore, do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity and close to sexuality gift of life.
In short, the experiences separate from any consideration of what is good or true, can lead not to genuine freedom, but to moral or intellectual confusion.
In this line, compliance with natural law, leads to the true humanity of man is the path to a path of perfection whose soul is love.
