The city will pay tribute to the star product of its cuisine calling the first day of Meat Loaf (04/04/2009)

The day will include a live demonstration of remote technical craftsmanship of the 'bare'

Among the planned initiatives include the publication of a commemorative book and facsimile reproduction of the historic ordinance, 1695

Murcia will settle a historical debt that dates back several centuries, with one of their culinary specialties most universal and praised by friends and strangers.

This is the famous meatloaf, a real symbol of the city and so far had not received the treatment it deserves.

The Mayor of Murcia, Miguel Ángel Cámara, through Murcia program was in collaboration with the Association of Pastry Murcia (AREP) and the Department of Commerce and People's Party, has called for April 15 the first day of Meatloaf.

The Mayor stressed that this historic announcement has two roles.

The first is to commend one of our most popular dishes and universal.

And the second, closer to the thousands of tourists during the week of the Spring Festival visit the city.

This great feast was held the day after the Bando de la Huerta and the end of the parade Murcia in the spring.

The event will begin at 20.00 in Piazza Belluga, which will be distributed free of charge, 12,000 cakes.
