For the second consecutive year, Murcia pay tribute to Our Lady of Sorrows and Saints Steps in the procession that carried from the church of San Miguel Archangel to the church of San Juan de Dios, where it will be transferred to the Pontifical Royal Hospital Association and Primitive Holy Christ of Health.
The delegation of the Brotherhood of Our Lady of Sorrows and Saints Steps leave tomorrow, Easter Saturday, at 12:00 pm and tour the following schedule: Acisclo Diaz, Maestro Alonso, Angel Guirao, Plaza de Romea, Echegaray, Santa Clara, Santo Domingo Plaza, Tatters, Salzillo, Plaza Cardenal Belluga and Apostles, ending up in the church of San Juan de Dios (at 14:00 hours approximately).
It should be noted that the image of Our Lady of Sorrows and Holy Steps, Murcia sculptor Francisco Salzillo, is on the right of the altar of the parish church of San Miguel Archangel of the city of Murcia.

La Dolorosa de los Santos Steps came to have its own guild, plus it became one of the most revered images of Murcia.
Over time, this brotherhood, one of the oldest in the city, was dissolved and, nowadays, the image is taken in procession on Holy Tuesday by the Pontifical, Royal Hospital Association and Primitive Holy Christ of Health.
In late 2006, a group of young parishioners of St. Michael, the parish priest, D.
Wild Love, the group decided to form a parish with the intent to revere and honor the Virgin of Sorrows and Holy Steps, and someday to "refound" this ancient brotherhood which gives its name.
