UGT and CCOO written addressed to the mayor of Murcia:
D.
Miguel Angel Botia Camera
Mayor-President
Hon.
Murcia City
Dear Mr. Mayor:
On behalf of our respective organizations, CCOO and UGT Murcia Region of Murcia, we no longer express our perplexity, but our most categorical and absolute protest and outrage at the way he has been treated in relation to the number of attendees at the same from the local police of the City which you preside, the demonstration on Saturday 28 of this went through the main streets of the capital, called by the unions that represent.
Especially if we make the comparison with the treatment the same day and almost at the same time received, by the police said, another act that took place in our city.
The hefty difference to the figure given by senior police in relation to that given by different sources present at the union has not gone unnoticed and has led to comments in some media, which has not hesitated to cross the nerve the conduct of public officials charged with counting.
Without wishing to make comparisons, we also recall that in the event prior to the massive march in favor of the Tajo-Segura, on Thursday, February 5 from the Chamber of Commerce to the Plaza de la Fuensanta, also supported by our organizations, the same local police established a figure close to 30,000 attendees, with the presence of people quite similar to those of Saturday 28 March.
I honestly believe that with this attitude undermines the important role played by the local police in the municipality of Murcia, and respected rather than the data it provides are of public ridicule by the public and the media themselves .
In the confidence that this is not to your liking, please do in the future adopt objective methods that allow a uniform assessment data forms.
Carefully
