Murcia furniture and equipment donated to children Sahara nomads (25/03/2009)

Murcia continues to demonstrate its solidarity with the neediest countries.

The Governing Board approved the donation of a series of furniture and materials that were in the Hall of Nature of Majal Blanco, Azul to the NGO Action to be taken to the Sahara.

All this material will go to Shelter for nomadic children: fifteen metal bunk beds, ten boxes of blankets, two pillows, boxes, fourteen metal lockers, bunk bed mattress 27 and a metal tent structure.

The NGO Blue in Action, formed by local police of Murcia, and has made various solidarity actions in this area as the construction of a hospital and a boarding school in the village Hassi lips, in the Moroccan Sahara.

Moreover, in February this year traveled to Togo to intervene in three cooperation projects, focusing on the performance of eye surgery and treatment of diseases such as cataracts and trachoma.
