The new temporary exhibition hall Salzillo Museum opens this evening (at 20:30) with the sample `Barberán Muñoz.

Passion and Memory ', which will remain open until May 15.

The Director of Fine Arts and Cultural Heritage, Enrique Ujaldón, this morning presented the exhibition, accompanied by the Commissioners Emilio Llamas and Pilar Muñoz and the president of the Royal and Most Illustrious Brotherhood of Nuestro Padre Jesus Nazareno, Rafael Cebrián, which organizes activity in honor and memory of Lorca painter.

The exhibition, whose key Holy Week, includes over 30 paintings and some of his work as a poster of Holy Week and showcases with pencil drawings, fan or small figures of clay and plaster.

The Director General of Fine Arts and Cultural Rights noted that this exhibition brings to Murcia some unpublished pictures from private collections, such as tables or Auroros White Pass.

Ujaldón stressed that this show opens the new temporary exhibition gallery, which will allow for cultural activities related to the sculptor Francisco Salzillo.

In addition, the museum will upon completion of the works, with more exposure meters and a new museum discourse created by the director, María Teresa Marín, with architect Paul Bridge, which will allow a better understanding of the life and work of Francisco Salzillo in conjunction with their time and the history of the Brotherhood of Nuestro Padre Jesus Nazareno, which will add new claims to own permanent exhibition.

Muñoz Barberán

Barberán Muñoz (1921-2007), painter and writer Lorca, began his artistic training at the municipal academy of drawing in his hometown.

Noted for its exquisite taste, a very personal style, a superb drawing and a constant concern for the treatment of light.

Settled in Murcia but were frequent your trip to Madrid, where he completed his training in the Fine Arts and made copies of paintings from the Prado Museum.

Throughout his career was the recipient of numerous awards and honors.
