The president of the Congress of Deputies, José Bono, opened today, March 23, the International Congress of Human Rights, Criminal Law and Criminology, University of Murcia that organizes for the fourth time.
Bono advocated the role of human rights, which, in its view, do not go through their best, and referred to the importance of erasing all boundaries in order to achieve a more equal world.
Parliament President devoted some loving words to Professor of Philosophy of Law Elías Díaz, whose talk on Fundamentalism and Democracy followed the intervention of Bono and thus opened the Congress.
Among the authorities present, discussed the Regional Assembly President Francisco Celdran, who noted the appropriateness of holding the Congress now that it has recently completed the 60 anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
The mayor of Murcia, Miguel Ángel Cámara, he said, for its part, the opportunity posed by these days for students and practitioners, given the level of the speakers.
The Congress, which shall in its first two days of human rights, reserved for the last days of criminology and criminal side, where will address issues such as violence in the family, video surveillance or abortion.
For this first day are planned interventions, among other speakers, the director general of the Guardia Civil and National Police, Francisco Velazquez, and the Cardinal Archbishop of Seville, Carlos Amigo.
The opening ceremony was held at the Auditorium, campus of Mercy, where all sessions will be held, attended by the rector, José Antonio Cobacho, the dean of law, Esperanza Orihuela, and the academic directors of Congress José Luis Mirete and David Morin .
