The UCAM has started this morning the XIX National Conference of Sports Traumatology, focusing on prevention of sports injuries.
The event, to be held in the Chamber of Commerce of Murcia, is particularly aimed at professionals from the health and sports medicine.
Among the experts who participated in the initial session should be noted the director of the organizing committee of the conference, José Luis Martínez Romero, co-directed the Department of Sport Traumatology UCAM with Dr. Pedro Guillen, and the director of the Scientific Committee Francisco Esparza.
According to the director of the scientific committee of the conference, Dr. Francisco Esparza, "is to develop a multidisciplinary conference that, despite its medical and scientific basis, are designed to prevent sports injuries, not just elite athletes, but sport in general, the person seeking health. "
Therefore, says Dr. Esparza, "we have brought together physical therapists, nurses, physiologists, orthopedic specialists, nutritionists ... because the trauma they need all the benefit of the athletes."

A broad panel of experts in sports medicine has lectured on many factors that promote the prevention of sports injuries, including the physiological, psychological, nutritional, and environmental.
Highlights the involvement of Professor of Science of Physical Activity and Sport (CAFD) of the UCAM, Aurelio Olmedilla, the head of the Medical Services CD Castellón, Cesar Cobian, Miguel and Luis Pagan, an expert of the Center for Sports Medicine University of Murcia and Murcia member of the Association of Sports Medicine (AMD).
